How to Find Your Numerology Number

Find your Life Path number

Your Life Path is the most important number in your chart, and it comes straight from your date of birth. Write your birth date out as numbers, add them all together, then keep adding the digits of the result until you're left with a single digit.

For example, 24 September 1996 becomes 2 + 4 + 9 + 1 + 9 + 9 + 6 = 40, and 4 + 0 = 4. That person is a Life Path 4.

A note on master numbers

If your adding lands on 11, 22, or 33 before you reduce further, stop there — these are the "master numbers," read on their own rather than reduced to 2, 4, or 6.

Find your name numbers

Name numbers work the same way, but you start by turning each letter into a number (A=1, B=2, and so on up to 9, then repeating). Add the vowels for your Soul Urge, the consonants for your Personality, and the whole name for your Expression number.
