This Privacy Policy explains how TheMetaphysicsLab LLC (“Divine Triangle,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use the website at divinetriangle.com and related services (the “Service”). It should be read together with our Terms & Conditions.

For the purposes of GDPR/UK GDPR, the data controller is TheMetaphysicsLab LLC. Contact: support@divinetriangle.com.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide

Account information: your email address, and authentication data (we support a one-time email login code and/or a password; passwords are stored only in hashed form).
Reading inputs: the names and birth dates you enter to generate calculators, readings, and blueprints. This may include information about other people (for example, a partner for a compatibility reading or a gift recipient). See Section 6.
Purchase information: the products you buy, the named subject a Reading is bound to, billing email, and transaction records. Payment-card details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor (Stripe); we do not store full card numbers.
Gifts: if you send a gift, the recipient's email or delivery details you provide.
Communications: information you send us by email or support requests.

1.2 Information we collect automatically

Usage and device data: IP address, browser type, device and operating system, pages viewed, referring pages, and timestamps.
Cookies and similar technologies: including a session cookie, a security (CSRF) token, a theme/preference cookie, and — where applicable — analytics and bot-protection identifiers. See Section 3.

1.3 Information from third parties

Payment confirmations and limited transaction metadata from our payment processor.
Email delivery and bounce information from our email provider.

Categories of personal information (for California residents): identifiers (name, email, IP); commercial information (purchase history); internet/network activity (usage data); and information you voluntarily submit within Readings (names and birth dates). We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information or special-category data.

2. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

create and manage your account and authenticate logins;
generate and deliver the calculators, Readings, and blueprints you request;
process purchases and gifts, send receipts, and prevent fraud;
send service/transactional emails (login codes, receipts, delivery, important notices);
send marketing or product emails where you have opted in or where permitted by law (you can unsubscribe at any time — see Section 9);
operate, secure, debug, and improve the Service, including analytics;
comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

3. Cookies & Tracking

We use strictly necessary cookies to operate the Service (session and security tokens) and a preference cookie to remember your light/dark theme. Where enabled, we also use Google Analytics (provided by Google LLC) to understand usage and Cloudflare Turnstile (provided by Cloudflare, Inc.) to protect our forms from automated abuse; these tools may set additional cookies or similar identifiers. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may break parts of the Service.

4. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR/UK GDPR)

Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we rely on:

Performance of a contract — to provide the Service, accounts, and purchased Readings;
Consent — for optional marketing communications and any non-essential cookies (you may withdraw consent at any time);
Legitimate interests — to secure the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve our products, balanced against your rights;
Legal obligation — to meet tax, accounting, and other legal requirements.

5. How We Share Information

We share personal information only as described here. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.

Service providers (processors) who act on our instructions, including:
- Stripe — payment processing;
- SendGrid (Twilio) — transactional and, where applicable, marketing email delivery;
- Heroku (Salesforce) — application hosting, database, and storage;
- Google Analytics (Google LLC) and Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc.), where enabled.
Legal and safety — where required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Divine Triangle, our users, or others.
Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

6. Information About Other People

If you submit another person's information (for example, for a compatibility reading or a gift), you represent that you have a lawful basis to do so. You are responsible for ensuring that person is aware of, and where required consents to, your use of their information in connection with the Service. We process that information to provide the requested feature and under this Policy.

7. Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business or legal purposes:

Account and Readings: for the life of your account and up to 24 months after closure, unless a longer period is required;
Transaction records: as required by tax and accounting law (commonly 7 years);
Email logs: up to 12 months.

We then delete or anonymize the information.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:

Access a copy of your personal information;
Correct inaccurate information;
Delete your information;
Restrict or object to certain processing;
Portability of information you provided;
Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing);
Opt out of marketing;
For California residents: to know, delete, and correct personal information, to opt out of any sale/share (we do not sell or share), and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights;
For EU/UK residents: to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

9. Marketing & Communications

We will send you service-related messages necessary to operate your account (these are not optional while you have an account). Marketing emails are sent only where permitted, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing does not stop transactional messages.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and restricted access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International Transfers

We are based in the United States and use service providers that may process data in the United States or other countries. Where we transfer personal information out of the EEA, UK, or other regulated regions, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum where applicable).

12. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to, and is not intended for, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact support@divinetriangle.com and we will delete it.

13. Third-Party Links

The Service may link to third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices; review their policies separately.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and may provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
